It hits "home".
It is a sad movie for animal lovers, however , entertaining and great stars! Jennifer Anniston is a complete knockout, in looks and acting both! Owen Wilson also plays a great part, He delivers a great performance. The end of the movie was very good, I personally think it could have played out a little differently.

A movie about a dog, Marley, and a young family. The dog is very loving but extremely destructive. Marley defies even the most determined dog trainers. The Owen Wilson plays a reporter who writes for a Florida newspaper. He wants to report the news as an immersion reporter covering relevant world news. Instead he is delegated a column of local community activities that incorporates his own commentary. He is unhappy and feels like a "Porsche on Blocks." His family grows and changes, Marley gets older but not less rambunctious, and finally Owen gets a shot at his dream job in another state with another newspaper. SPOILER ALERT*** A dog loving friend of mine once said after he buried his third labrador, "If I had known then, what I know now, I would have ... A movie about a dog, Marley, and a young family. This may, (or may not) be a good introduction for young kids about death and how families/people deal with it. As a dog movie, Marley & Me can stand toe to toe with Old Yeller and Lassie Come Home.

The most Adorable Movie of 2008 - You will Love it.
Marley & Me is just adorable. Newspaper Columnist John Grogan was inspired in real life to write this story and it was soon to be a movie. Marley's antics and nature helps to shape the couples lives for the next 15 years, even giving John plenty of material to write in his column. After the wedding, John and Jennifer move to Florida and begin to live their lives. John isn't ready to have children yet so thinks that Jennifer will be occupied by other thoughts, so he decides to get her a cute puppy hoping it will cheer her up and take her mind off of her on biological clock. Not unlike the film Turner & Hooch (Tom Hanks), this movie pulls hard at your heart strings. If you know what it means to have pets, then maybe you can relate.
