I wanted to build a cheap panadapter to run off my Elecraft K3 IF port and had read ... I wanted to build a cheap panadapter to run off my Elecraft K3 IF port and had read where others had done a similar project combining an upconverter with an RTL SDR dongle. I got both from NooElec and it works perfectly for my needs. Make sure you get the extruded cases for both devices or you might see several "birdies" like I did. After I got the cases, 99% of the birdies went away and I get a clear picture from SQR# software.
